EMPLOYER MATCHING GIFT AND VOLUNTEER INCENTIVE PROGRAMS
Your contributions can have twice the impact if you participate
in your company's matching gift and volunteer incentive
programs.
Many companies offer incentive programs for employees who
provide financial support or volunteer time to non-profit
organizations.

Matching Gift Program
allows the company to match an employee’s contribution to a
non-profit organization. For example, an employee may donate
$500.00 to
A Volunteer Incentive Program allows the company to make a contribution to an organization of the employee’s choice in exchange for volunteer time at the organization. For example, 20 volunteer hours may be matched by an employer at $500.00 or more. What are the benefits of Employer Matching Gift and Volunteer Incentive Programs?

How does it work? Matching Gift Program The employee selects a charity of their choice, within the corporation's giving guidelines, completes one part of their employer's application form and submits the form with a donation to the charity. Once the donation is received, the charity completes the second part of the application and returns it to the corporation. Within a period of three months to one year, upon approval, the corporation will match or double match the employee's gift. Volunteer Incentive Program The Volunteer Incentive Program recognizes an employee’s contribution of time and talent to nonprofit organizations located in their community or surrounding areas. Under the program, employees are eligible to apply for a grant on behalf of the qualified organization where they have volunteered 20 hours or more during the year. How do I obtain an application form? Each corporation or corporate foundation has specific qualifications for eligible charities. To find out more about your employer's Matching Gift or Volunteer Incentive Program, ask your Human Resources personnel for a Matching Gift Program or Volunteer Incentive Program application form and the company's guidelines for participation.
